(March 11, 2007) JoAnna will be headed down to Austin, Texas for the SXSW Music Festival to play violin and sing harmonies with both Martin Devaney and The Honeydogs for their official showcases at Club 115 on Friday, March 15. Then, she will be playing her own set of tunes on Saturday, March 16 at the Blind Pig Pub at noon. Yeehaw!

(December 17, 2006) Big thanks to all who came out to the 400 Bar last night. What a night! For those of you who missed it, JoAnna was joined on stage with special guests Jeremy Messersmith and 2007 "Song of the Year" Grammy-nominee, Dan Wilson. They performed "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles as well as "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles. A truly memorable evening indeed. Read more about it here.

(August 24, 2006) Fresh from the road, JJ is back and ready to premier some new tunes for the MN crew. She will be heading out to Colorado in a week or so to play South Park Music Fest, and then it's off to Cincinnati to showcase at the Midpoint Music Fest.
(June 19, 2006) JoAnna is already off to New York City again--this time for six weeks in order to write more music and play more shows. She has a Wednesday night residency at Banjo Jim's for the month of July in addition to a handful of other gigs out East and throughout the Midwest. Keep your eyes on the schedule for when she'll be touring near you!

(September 30, 2004) JoAnna James invited to open for Jamie Cullum at the Fine Line on October 11! Universal Records recording artist, Jamie Cullum, is to the UK as Norah Jones is to the US. The New York Times calls him "A fiercely swinging pianist, he attacks the instrument, daring himself to play almost faster and harder than his fingers will allow."
